What a day…That was an incredible moment.Now, now, now. I don’t want to sound proud, obnoxious, arrogant, egoistic or anything. But frankly, the award that I’ve just received is a really BIG one. And I am so bloody overwhelmed by this.

This might sound cliched. But I would never ever have come this far if I had taken this path alone.

I initially wanted to draft a long long list of names. But I’ve decided to thrash that idea.

I just want everyone to know that, the Award and whatever success that I’m perceived to be enjoying, is not the sole effort of me, myself and I.

My family who brought me up;
The people who brought me into Radio;
The people who taught me what Radio is all about;
The people whose compliments I crave;
The people whose criticisms I pay attention to;
The people who made me feel loved.

Thank you for being with me.
I probably wouldn’t qualify to be the best son/ classmate/ colleague/ friend. But I’m clearly the Most Fortunate One.

And to the people who know me as a DJ that goes WooHoo! like a lunatic, or a Blogger who kao beh kao bu at times, thank you for accepting me as who I am, whether it’s on air or online.

It’s an obvious fact that I have much room for improvement. And I most certainly will not sit back, relax and make you regret your support for Cruz Teng.

Thank you for naming me Favourite Radio Personality this year.

Dasmond, as the first recipient of this Award, has set a benchmark that’s almost impossible to match.

I’ll try my best. And I don’t mean I want to overtake him lah. I’ll work hard, in order not to disgrace him, undermine the prestige of this Award and make myself a laughing stock in the history books.

But for now, please allow me to satisfy my narcissistic whelms.
